About The Position

Steel Craft Technologies is looking to hire a quality assembler that will focus on ensuring necessary quality standards are met for their team at their Grand Rapids, MI plant.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience or more of quality/assembling work or experience in the tool and die trade, be highly motivated to learn, and be a team player. No experience required for candidates that have a good work ethic and a willingness to learn. On the job training will be provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Willingness to be trained as necessary
• Candidate must have full use of all limbs.
• Candidate must be able to read and speak English.
• Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Ability to sit (or stand) for long periods of time
• Ability to use motorized equipment (i.e. forklift).
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with running a drill press and saw
• Experience with deburring
• General understanding of machinery

Responsibilities

• Deburr parts as needed
• Complete any offline work with hand tools, drill press, saw, etc.
• Complete quality checks to ensure features are in tolerance
• Assembly
• Packaging for shipping
• Load/unload trucks for shipping & receiving
• Maintain appropriate tools
• Keep current on tool calibration
• Assist with a wide variety of shop tasks as requested
• Keep work area clean
• Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management
• Maintain regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours
