About The Position

Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications. Will be responsible for the following, specifically, in O06 (Quality Problem Management): SAP administration for NNS-received SUPSHIP Corrective Action Requests (CARs), as well as Audit Cards as needed. Record Retention. CAR report preparation and CAR correspondence. CAR and Quality Item Matrix (QIM) administrative procedures. CAR and QIM Sharepoint administrative duties and backup duties for O06 Sharepoint site. Backup duties for CAR Metrics and Program Quality Scorecard (PQS) input.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience.
  • One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP, Sharepoint, and Navy Technical Support Management (TSM) system.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interface with all levels internal and external to the company.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat.
