About The Position

The Pharmacy Hub is a fast-growing compounding pharmacy operation, and we are building the infrastructure to match our ambition. The QHSE Manager will be the founding leader of a unified Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) framework across our compounding, packaging, and fulfillment operations. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who thrives on building systems from scratch, reducing operational risk, and creating a culture of quality and safety in a regulated healthcare environment. You will serve as the primary expert and point of contact for all matters related to regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in QHSE, EHS, or Quality roles within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or fulfillment environments
  • Minimum 5+ years of total field experience in a safety, quality, or compliance function
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification (must be current)
  • Proficiency with safety/incident tracking systems and Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills; comfort working with operational and compliance data

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pharmacy, compounding, or regulated healthcare operations
  • Familiarity with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards
  • HAZWOPER certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
  • Experience with ERP or operational management systems
  • Background in high-growth or rapidly scaling environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs across compounding, packaging, and fulfillment processes
  • Establish quality control systems to reduce errors, rework, and reships
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for operational issues and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
  • Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> pharmacy standards
  • Partner with Operations leadership to standardize workflows across all locations
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable workplace safety standards
  • Design and implement safety programs, training curricula, and incident prevention strategies
  • Conduct regular safety audits, facility inspections, and risk assessments
  • Track, analyze, and report on workplace incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions
  • Champion a strong, proactive safety culture across all departments and locations
  • Oversee proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and pharmaceutical waste
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
  • Develop and maintain environmental safety procedures specific to compounding operations
  • Serve as internal expert on cleanroom standards and chemical hygiene requirements
  • Maintain continuous audit readiness for internal, state, and federal inspections
  • Develop, track, and present QHSE KPIs to leadership (incident rate, error rate, compliance metrics)
  • Prepare clear, actionable reports on quality, safety, and compliance performance
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all regulatory inspections and external audits
