QHSE Intern - BlueFin Field Services
About The Position
BlueFin, a GATE Energy Company, is a leading independent service company with a suite of project execution niches and specialty equipment, covering a full range of pipeline and process, mechanical, intelligent completions, and fluid flushing and filtration services. Our clients range from Operators to General Contractors in the upstream, midstream and downstream market sectors of all energy industries. Job Summary QHSE Intern assists the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment department in implementing, monitoring, and improving systems that ensure a safe workplace, high product/service quality, and compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, Fit for Duty, and / or physical
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, Fit for Duty, and / or physical
Responsibilities
- Support documentation and compliance
- Help maintain QHSE documentation (policies, procedures, checklists, audits).
- Assist in ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 .
- Conduct inspections and audits
- Participate in workplace safety inspections and internal audits.
- Report hazards, nonconformities, and improvement opportunities.
- Promote health & safety culture
- Support toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness campaigns.
- Help track safety observations, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Assist in training and communication
- Prepare training materials and QHSE communication content.
- Help deliver or coordinate QHSE onboarding sessions for employees.
- Data collection and reporting
- Collect and analyze QHSE performance data (KPIs, incident statistics, quality metrics).
- Prepare weekly or monthly dashboards and reports for management.
- Environmental support
- Assist with waste management tracking, energy-saving initiatives, and environmental inspections.
