This is a QA/QC auditing role primarily focused on data centers. The QA/QC Technician will perform daily inspections and observations of assigned sites, documenting findings such as non-conformities, potential risks, and areas for improvement using a QA/QC checklist. The role involves maintaining accurate and organized records of all inspection activities, findings, and follow-ups. The technician will assist in training employees on quality standards and best practices, detect deviations from quality standards, and report them to the QA/QC Manager, site supervisors, or other relevant personnel. They will also work with their manager to provide recommendations to enhance quality standards, minimize risks, and improve efficiency. The position requires staying up to date with industry, manufacturing, and internal standards, as well as local, state, and national codes. The technician will audit telecom installations, including copper and fiber cabling, rack layouts, cable dressing, and equipment, to ensure correct installation, testing, and functionality. While the primary focus is auditing, the candidate should be willing to assist with installation work if quality work slows down. A strong understanding of pre-terminated cables, rack dressing and layout standards, and fiber and copper cabling concepts is essential. The role demands critical thinking, strong attention to detail, the ability to identify risks and non-conformities, and clear, professional communication of findings through documentation and reports.
