About The Position

Darigold is seeking a Lab Technician for our Pasco, WA plant location. What you Will Do Ensure that all products' analytical, micro and organoleptic properties are in compliance with product and regulatory specifications through testing. Communicating to appropriate parties when samples do not meet specifications. Obtain samples from different areas of the facility for micro and analytical testing. Calibrating and maintaining all laboratory equipment per the established schedule Performing extra tests testing and retesting when needed or as directed by management. Reporting results in a timely and accurate manner to Quality Assurance, Operations, and Accounting departments via emailed reports and/or in person. Preparing Certificates of Analysis as needed and emailing them out to customers. Perform swabbing of the plant floors, walls, and equipment for microbiological testing and report on results. Prepare and send out samples for third party monthly, quarterly, and biannual testing. Must be able to lift/push/pull 50lbs Responsible for reporting all food safety and/or quality concerns to Management. Other duties as assigned based on department needs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating levels of work each day. Basic understanding of microbiology and chemistry scientific principles. Basic understanding and competence using Microsoft Office programs such as excel, word, outlook. Education, Experience and Certifications High school diploma or equivalent required for this position. Computer literacy required for this position. Prior laboratory experience strongly preferred. Nice-to-Have’s Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in a science discipline preferred Prior experience in a dairy processing environment strongly preferred HACCP or PCQI training and/or certifications. Requirements
