Job Summary Xumo is seeking a QA Engineer III to support the quality, stability, and operational readiness of our FAST Enterprise Syndication platform. This role partners closely with video engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure high-quality linear channel delivery across MVPD, OEM, and OTT distribution partners. This position focuses on linear streaming workflows, combining hands-on operational QA with structured test planning, device certification, and partner readiness. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in fast-paced production environments. Job Description Perform end‑to‑end QA on video streaming and playback experiences: validating video, audio, captions, and ad or content quality standards are met. Test across a wide range of devices (smart TVs, mobile, web, set‑top boxes) to ensure consistent quality, performance, and feature behavior. Validate new distribution endpoints and partner integrations prior to launch to reduce production risk. Review encoding profiles, metadata handling, subtitle/caption formatting, and playback logic. Work closely with engineering team s, product managers, and operations team to review requirements, specifications, and delivery readiness. Support device certification, partner readiness, or cross‑platform compatibility efforts. Participate in operational tasks such as channel launches, migrations, maintenance windows , assisting with validation and issue triage. Monitor and validate production incidents, supporting troubleshooting and recovery efforts. Maintain test environments, devices, and tools for ongoing QA operations. Identify opportunities to improve QA efficiency through process improvements, automation, and lightweight scripting.
