QA / Development / Production Programmer

We go beyond, from development to execution of bold, client-first strategies, resulting in winning outcomes. We specialize in shareholder engagement & solicitation, compensation advisory, governance & sustainability advisory, M&A activism, institutional ownership intelligence, proxy logistics and retail outreach strategies. Alliance Advisors is seeking a QA / Development / Production Programmer to support the software development lifecycle by improving test coverage, validating new features, and ensuring high-quality releases into production. This role plays a critical part in maintaining system reliability and accelerating delivery by identifying issues early and collaborating closely with development teams.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a QA, testing, or quality-focused engineering role
- Strong understanding of web application architecture and modern development practices
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, niche business environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting production environments and release cycles
- Familiarity with Agile or iterative development methodologies
- Local to New Jersey with the ability to work on-site and collaborate closely with the team
- The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple technologies, including: JavaScript Java MySQL SQL React Vue.js Node.js PHP
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and QA documentation
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across web-based applications
- Validate new features and enhancements prior to production releases
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Partner closely with developers to identify issues early in the development cycle
- Provide clear, actionable feedback to engineering and technical stakeholders
- Help establish, refine, and enforce QA best practices and testing workflows
- Support continuous improvement of development and release processes
- Assist with validating production deployments as needed
- Help reduce rework, defects, and release delays through proactive testing
