About The Position

Collins Aerospace is hiring a Systems Administrator for their Secure Labs support team. This position is onsite in Richardson, TX. The role requires an active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date, and U.S. citizenship. Qualified candidates should have a passion for technology and be excited about finding new ways to add value to the business. The Digital Technology team is driving business efficiencies and a better customer experience by connecting technologies, people, information and processes, focusing on making aircraft more electric, intelligent and integrated, and building new software platforms such as Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree
  • Active Secret Clearance is needed day one
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience supporting technology in a professional environment, secure environment experience preferred: Desktop Support, Server Administration, and Virtualization Technologies (VM Ware, etc.)
  • Linux Systems Administration
  • Networking (important)
  • Compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53)
  • Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification (ex. Sec+). Active cert preferred

  • Technology certifications (Systems Administration, Cloud, etc.)
  • Security certifications (Sec+, CISSP, etc.)
  • Govt. Security Clearance (Collateral / Secret)

Responsibilities

  • Work with one or more of the following technologies: Virtualization, Servers, Clients, Networking, Storage, Backup
  • Regularly work with other members of the organization as part of a cross functional team
  • Build strong relationships with customers and peers
  • Assist in driving escalations to resolution
  • Participate in improvement of internal processes (LEAN/ACE/CORE)
  • Use your technical knowledge and experience to facilitate resolution of service request and restoration tickets
  • Assist with the implementation of technical solutions to support the projects you are assigned
  • Provide support for the Tier1 and Tier2 infrastructure teams
