The Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing daily procurement activities while steering supply chain management at a strategic level. This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain best practices- including pricing and negotiating, tracking supplier performance and lead times, and procurement reporting. The Supply Chain Manager proactively approaches supplying SMI’s production needs and inventory cadence in support of our mission - Perfect Parts On Time. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Logistics to accurately forecast inventory and business supply needs on weekly, monthly, and annual horizons. Additionally, you will lead the Material Handling team (2–4 members), delegating work across receiving, picking, and shipping zones to ensure inventory reliability, prevent bottlenecks, and maintain a seamless flow of goods.
