About The Position

Supply Chain Planning and Purchasing Manager The Supply Chain Planning and Purchasing Manager is responsible for driving complex supply chain projects and operational execution within a regulated medical device environment. The role operates with autonomy and accountability, owning the planning, execution, and sustainment of cross-functional initiatives that support business objectives, regulatory compliance, and continuity of supply. The role leads structured projects to ensure supply chain processes, systems, and supplier operations align with internal standards, best-in-class practices, and global regulatory requirements, including FDA, ISO 13485, EU MDR, and other applicable regional regulations. Your role: Own planning and execution of complex supply chain projects from concept through implementation, release, and post-release follow-up. Establish strong operating mechanisms to track progress, manage interdependencies, identify risks, resolve obstacles, and define recovery plans. Drive cost-conscious execution, identifying opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality, service, and assurance of supply. Define, monitor, and govern key supply chain KPIs, including delivery, inventory, supplier performance, execution stability, and cost performance. Drive supplier-related execution in partnership with Procurement and Supplier Quality, ensuring performance, compliance, and recovery actions are delivered. Maintain visibility to supplier risks and escalate issues proactively to protect continuity of supply and regulatory standing.

Requirements

  • You’ve acquired 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or materials management in a highly regulated environment. This role is a people leader leading a team of 10 employees)
  • Your skills include Stakeholder Management, Risk Management, Vendor Management, and Cost Planning.
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Sciences, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.
  • For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to San Diego.
