About The Position

Eaton’s CPDI OPS Operations division is currently seeking a Purchasing Supervisor. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $120,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Relocation assistance is available for a candidate currently residing in the USA . What you’ll do: PRIMARY FUNCTION: Directs and controls the flow of materials into the plant, maintaining the balance between lowering inventory turns and avoiding production interruptions. Main point of contact for plant material priorities. SAP subject matter expert regarding purchasing practices and ensures that the process standards are followed to maximize material availability while minimizing inventory and supply chain cost. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Support Strategic Buyers team with escalation help to global Eaton procurement team to ensure objectives are achieved, such as material availability, inventory levels, etc. Direct COE buyers with plant priorities and ensure purchasing processes are monitored and followed. Work cross functionally with other plant supervisors and plant management to meet production schedules, inventory levels, and shipment demands to achieve on-time performance and inventory management requirements. Lead improvement initiatives with internal and external vendors to improve P2P process efficiency and reliability. Monitor invoicing and accounts payable processes, troubleshooting and escalating issues as required. Evaluates work performance of the materials planning group annually, or as required, in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc. Work with Global Sourcing team to onboard suppliers and expand supply chain capability in line with plant growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, finance or business.
  • Three (3) years of relevant supervisory experience in supply chain supporting a manufacturing environment .

  • Experience in goods receipt and invoice reconciliation
  • Leading strategic supply chain projects, high level of analytical skills.
  • Broad knowledge of computerized inventory systems, scheduling techniques, general manufacturing, and ability to interpret drawings and prints.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP Purchasing experience in maintaining master data records and placing POs
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • Previous experience involving manufacturing plant receiving, shipping, and material handling .
  • Proficiency in SAP ECC/MRP shipping, receiving and stock room processes.
  • Warehouse management system (WMS) experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma/ Continuous improvement project experience.
  • Effective people management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize several concurrent projects.
  • Effective English written and verbal communication skills.
