About The Position

The Purchasing Supervisor leads and oversees day-to-day procurement operations to ensure material availability, supplier performance, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for developing and coaching the purchasing team, setting priorities, and driving execution aligned with business execution aligned with business objectives related to cost, quality, delivery, and risk assessment.

Sound judgment in managing supplier and internal escalators.
Proficiency with ERP systems and reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
5+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 2 years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
Experience working in ISO or AS9100 regulated environments preferred.
Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for the purchasing team.
Assign workloads, set priorities, and balance resources to support production and program needs.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Support supplier negotiations, escalations, and performance improvement activities.
Partner with Supply Chain leadership on planning, forecasting, and sourcing strategy execution.
Monitor and report key procurement KPIs, including shortages, past-due orders, and supplier performance.
Support audits and regulatory compliance requirements (ISO/AS, ITAR, internal audits).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within purchasing processes and workflows.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and development planning for purchasing team members.
Other duties as required and/or assigned.
