About The Position

Responsibilities: MRO Buying Negotiates favorable SEI pricing with vendors Reviews and purchases all product consumed by SEI Stocks and fill supplies throughout the company Miscellaneous vendor buying Create purchase orders within our ERP system, communicate the purchase orders with the vendor/ distributor Responsible for any discrepancies associated with the purchase order, striving to have a quick resolution to avoid material arrival delays Impelled to persistently identify means to reduce associated purchasing expenses, i.e. freight costs, bulk quantity benefits and blanket/longer term orders Communicates and interfaces effectively with other departments Other Purchasing department duties as required by management Consistent and regular attendance compulsory. Qualifications: BS or BA degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum one to two years of purchasing and/or accounting experience preferred Must be proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred Ability to navigate multiple online procurement sites for suppliers a plus Proven analytic thinking ability for purposes of formulating solutions Excellent communication and negotiation skills Solid organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Strong team participant with a willingness to collaborate Work Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, in office. Overtime is mandatory when the needs of business dictate. Compensation Details: The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $23.00 per hour depending on experience.
