As the Purchasing Manager, you will lead all purchasing and supplier management activities, ensuring that materials and services are sourced, delivered, and managed efficiently and effectively. This role plays a critical part in maintaining supplier performance, optimizing procurement processes, and supporting operational excellence across the organization. You'll oversee the teams responsible for material planning, supplier evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to senior leadership, this role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and has a passion for driving efficiency and collaboration. You are a results-oriented and strategic leader with extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management within a manufacturing environment. You thrive in fast-paced settings, balancing strategic direction with hands-on execution, and take pride in delivering efficient and effective purchasing operations. With a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, you bring extensive leadership experience in manufacturing and procurement environments. You have a proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate high-performing teams while maintaining exceptional standards of quality and efficiency. Your strong background in build-to-print procurement-covering electronics, printed circuit boards, machining, and cabling-enables you to manage complex supply chains with confidence, precision, and strategic foresight. You are proficient in ERP systems for job management, purchase orders, and inventory control, and you excel at problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making. Dependable and driven, you consistently demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, and a commitment to continuous improvement in all aspects of your work. Within the Kagwerks business we recognise and respect the need for flexible working arrangements, however due to the high touch, team engagement nature of this role, it will need to predominantly be based on site at our Vancouver, WA facilities, with work-from-home arrangements available by agreement.
