About The Position

McCorvey is one of the largest HVAC sheet metal contractors, delivering high-quality mechanical systems across Texas and Florida markets. Position Summary McCorvey is seeking an organized and efficient Purchasing Keyman to support procurement operations. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of equipment and supplies for projects and fabrication. In this role, you will work closely with our Manufacturing Facility Leads to gain hands-on experience in the different departments involved in fabricating ductwork. Additionally, you will rotate through fieldwork with our Journeymen to learn the installation process. Before assisting with any of our high-profile projects, this training is essential. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
• Strong organizational and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Experience with procurement or purchasing systems (preferred)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Rotate through different departments in our Manufacturing Facility
• Work in the field to learn ductwork installation processes
• Procure materials, equipment, and supplies for projects and shop operations
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes and pricing
• Track orders to ensure timely delivery
• Maintain vendor relationships and performance records
• Resolve discrepancies with orders, invoices, and deliveries
• Coordinate with project managers and fabrication teams
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with forecasting needs
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
