About The Position

Function: The purpose of the position is to receive, store, issue supplies or equipment, and assist with the controlled storage and return of residential client’s personal property via organizational policies and procedures. Organizational duties & responsibilities: The primary responsibility of all staff is to ensure the safety and well-being of all Ramey-Estep/Re-group (RE) clients. Supports the mission, vision, and values of RE. Facilitates and adheres to the agency’s code of ethics, policies, and procedures. Supports all functions that attain and maintain accreditation and compliance with regulatory agencies. Supports and facilitates positive interaction with clients and staff by exhibiting both in-office and in-public when carrying out job duties: individual maturity, respect for others, a team-centered approach, maintenance of confidential information, and awareness and sensitivity to cultural and other differences in clients and staff. Exhibits effective communication skills, including proper use of agency communication systems. Participates in appropriate professional development programs to attain and maintain competency. Effectively manages financial and physical resources to achieve the mission of RE. Reports incidents of abuse or potential abuse involving clients to the appropriate authorities and RE. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receives and processes incoming warehouse shipments. Assures incoming shipments match the accompanying documentation and examine merchandise for shortages, overages, and obvious damage. Reports any discrepancies to the Purchasing Manager. Records the receipt of incoming and outgoing shipments using the inventory control system. Forwards shipping documents and packing slips to the Purchasing Manager each workday. Stores all in-warehouse supply and equipment items and rotates stock to ensure oldest items can be retrieved first. Stores items for safety, convenience of handling and ease of movement. Assures that stored items are protected from damage, deterioration, and pilferage. Issues only items that appropriate employees are authorized to receive and ensure they are issued oldest items first. Delivers orders to appropriate locations and picks up orders that are not delivered to the warehouse when needed. Maintains accurate records for all issues and incoming shipments. Assists with quarterly stock validation of selected items within the operating inventory. Assists with an annual stock validation of the entire warehouse inventory. Performs other duties as assigned. Working conditions/environment: Shift is generally dayshift, Monday - Friday. Holidays, weekends, and extra hours may occasionally be required. Meals are provided for staff when on campus. Environment is physically demanding and safety-focused with some computer usage.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring standing and moving for extended periods.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
  • Must maintain a valid Driver’s License and insurability.
  • Technical requirements include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and any other applications used by the organization or regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to read, write and converse in English.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Successful completion of a background screening.
  • Successful completion of a TB skin test or proof of a negative chest x-ray or other documentation.
  • Maintain 40 hours of annual training.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of inventory management experience or equivalent preferred.
