About The Position

Retail Technology Group is a leader in the Point of Sale Industry providing end-to-end technology solutions for a vast number of major retailers. Our goal is to provide clients with a "single point of sale" as they pursue solutions to meet the challenges faced in delivering technologies that are ever evolving within our industry.

The Purchasing Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and procuring new and used equipment to support company sales, projects and strategies.
Utilizing advanced procurement software, the buyer will analyze forecasts and inventory trends to determine company needs in order to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Will maintain and develop vendor relations to manage price and supply risk to maximize company’s competitive position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain or related field or 5+ years of procurement experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• ERP Experience – Netsuite preferred
• Written and Oral Communication Skills
• Advanced Analytical Skills
• Detail Oriented & Highly Organized
• Ability to meet deadlines and administer a task priority listing based on company needs
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or similar relevant field of study and 3 to 5 years of procurement experience or 10+ years of procurement experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Proactively assess inventory levels, supplier lead times, and economic order quantities to anticipate purchasing needs and ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Partner with service and repair teams to quickly identify required components and streamline repair workflows.
• Take ownership of the full purchasing cycle, driving cost reductions, improving lead times, and strengthening supply reliability.
• Act with urgency to expedite critical materials and maintain delivery commitments when timelines shift.
• Analyze and recommend actions for slow‑moving or obsolete inventory to support ongoing efficiency initiatives.
• Cultivate strong relationships with existing suppliers while strategically sourcing and onboarding new vendors that align with organizational goals.
• Serve as a key liaison between vendors and internal teams, troubleshooting procurement challenges with a solutions‑driven mindset.
• Uphold and champion company purchasing policies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement of procurement processes.
• Experience with Point‑of‑Sale (POS) equipment preferred; strong knowledge of electronic device sourcing and procurement required.
