About The Position

Clay County Medical Center (CCMC) is looking for a full-time Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Clay Center, KS. This is an opportunity to work in a modern facility and be part of award winning organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the purchasing and handling of medical products for CCMC and outlying rural clinics. They will work closely with each department at CCMC in supporting their operations. The candidate must be well organized and have strong communication skills. Purchasing or administrative experience is desirable. This role involves the operation of computer software and office equipment. This opportunity is a full-time position located in Clay Center, KS and can accommodate a flexible work schedule.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate computer software and office equipment
• Positive and professional demeanor
• Highly organized and excellent time management
• Ability to lift, carry, and move minimum of 45 lbs.
• Post-offer drug screen, background check and physical required.

• Purchasing or administrative experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders to outside vendors
• Track orders and ensure timely service
• Distribute internal product requisitions
• Receive freight and shipped goods
• Process outbound shipping
• Stock storeroom products and perform inventory controls
• Maintain accurate record keeping
