About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Purchasing Administrator to join our team in Greenville, SC! Hours may vary based on customer demand. Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekend As the Procurement Assistant, you will perform many daily duties, including: Utilizing the procurement and purchase order system to create POs as requested. Documenting, processing, matching, reading, organizing, sorting, and filing reports and data sheets. Scanning documents and uploading to proper systems. Operating office equipment and managing office space and systems. Answering inquiries and providing information both verbally and through written communication. Maintaining professional and customer-oriented relationships with team members, customers, and service providers. Performing other duties as assigned or requested by Management. As the Procurement Assistant, you will be expected to: Work in a team environment with a one team mentality; be friendly, respectful, empathetic, and professional to teammates and clients. Value and respect employee authenticity and demonstrate cultural awareness to create a memorable experience and a respectful workplace. Balance workload and multiple tasks while focusing on attention to detail and prioritizing assignments. Take initiative to resolve issues that arise and solve problems independently; shift priorities as needed or requested by management and remain flexible.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
  • Three years of experience in an industrial office environment, administrative computer-based role, or related role working in a pharmaceutical, research and development, or industrial environment or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to perform computer duties proficiently utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite.
  • Ability to perform data entry (scanning, uploading, filing, and documenting) using the company-specific Document Management System.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain site specific security access including all applicable background checks.
  • Ability to work overtime when required, including holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.
  • Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
  • Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
  • Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.
  • Requires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.
  • Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings and presentations.
  • Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.
  • Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations.
  • Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner.
