About The Position

The Public Works Supervisor provides hands-on leadership to utility workers and equipment operators within the Public Works Operations Division. This position combines field expertise with administrative oversight, ensuring that critical infrastructure is maintained safely, efficiently, and to City standards. You'll plan and schedule work, guide crews, manage materials and equipment, respond to service issues, and support long-term infrastructure planning. The role reports to the Public Works Operations Manager and is classified as an exempt, non-union position.

Requirements

  • Valid state driver's license and CDL.
  • Water Distribution Operator II certification.
  • Backflow Tester certification.
  • Competent Person certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Management Supervisor certification.
  • Cross Connection Specialist certification.
