About The Position

Under supervision of a Supervisor, performs varied types of manual and unskilled laboring work; may drive a truck in connection with laboring work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs varied types of manual and unskilled laboring work; loads, lifts, moves and sets up equipment; may set up and/or clean up for special events; performs other related duties as required. Empty trash and recycle cans. Picks up litter on stable and unstable surfaces.

Requirements

• Ability to: Perform manual tasks either alone or as a member of a group
• Perform heavy manual labor for prolonged periods of the time under varying temperatures and climatic conditions
• Follow prescribed procedures
• Utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems including radios, used by the agency, office, or related units
• Read, write, including the ability to read and write job cards, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position
• American Sign Language or Braille may also be considered as acceptable forms of communication.
