The Public Services Assistant I performs basic public service and library support tasks to contribute to their effective operation, providing library services, spaces, and resources that are representative of diverse cultures and perspectives, intentionally inclusive, and accessible to everyone. The Snohomish Library is seeking a detail-oriented team player with a genuine passion for providing excellent service to fill the position of Public Services Assistant. As one of the top three busiest branches in the Sno-Isle system, we serve a vibrant community that frequently makes use of the services the library offers, including use of public computers, printers, study tables, study rooms, and the public meeting room. Events and programs, especially those for youth and our storytimes, are well attended. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to provide top-tier service to our diverse patrons and who can commit to a primary schedule of: Mondays 9:00am – 6:00pm, Tuesdays/Wednesdays 10:00am – 5:00pm, and Saturdays 9:15am – 6:15pm, with the flexibility to adapt as library needs change.
