AMD is seeking a Public Sector Channel Business Development Executive to accelerate adoption of AMD technologies across the U.S. Public Sector ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on State & Local Government, Education (SLED), and Public Sector-focused channel partners. In this role, you will drive AMD’s public sector growth by activating and influencing the channel ecosystem—including OEMs, resellers, system integrators, distributors, and solution partners—who serve public sector customers. You will identify priority initiatives, guide go-to-market strategies, and champion AMD-based solutions across datacenter, AI acceleration, and commercial client platforms. This is a highly collaborative, outward-facing role requiring strong partner engagement, solution selling, and the ability to influence complex buying motions across multi-tier routes to market. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Public Sector and/or SLED sales cycles, procurement models, and funding mechanisms
  • Proven success driving business through channel-led go-to-market motions
  • Ability to influence without authority and create momentum across complex partner ecosystems
  • Comfort navigating long sales cycles, multi-stakeholder environments, and structured procurement
  • Willingness to travel ~40–50% to support partners, customers, and key events

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience in Public Sector or SLED IT sales, business development, or channel roles
  • Strong background working with OEMs, VARs, SIs, or distributors serving government and education customers
  • Hardware, infrastructure, datacenter, AI, or commercial client technology experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success driving adoption through partner-led sales motions
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into compelling solution-based value propositions

Responsibilities

  • Drive adoption of AMD-based solutions across Public Sector markets by activating OEM, reseller, integrator, and distribution partners
  • Understand Public Sector initiatives, funding programs, and buying cycles to align AMD solutions to customer needs
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on AMD’s public sector value proposition across datacenter, AI, and commercial client platforms
  • Build and expand trusted relationships with Public Sector-focused OEMs and channel partners
  • Educate partner sales and technical teams on AMD roadmaps, differentiation, and solution positioning
  • Influence partner solution design, bids, and proposals to increase AMD inclusion and preference
  • Support partners during program capture and pre-RFP/RFQ phases
  • Drive AMD positioning early in the sales cycle through demos, briefings, and technical deep dives
  • Coordinate AMD resources to support proposal development, pricing strategy, and technical validation
  • Collaborate with AMD Sales, Marketing, Business Units, and Field Application Engineers to execute Public Sector GTM strategies
  • Identify whitespace opportunities and recommend targeted campaigns, enablement, and demand generation activities
  • Represent AMD at Public Sector events, partner forums, and customer briefings
