About The Position

You'll assist with community outreach, event coordination, and communications—with a major focus on Ashley for the Arts, one of Wisconsin's largest charity events and a 3-day music and arts festival! Requirements

  • Currently earning a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Event Planning, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent combination of education/experience)
  • Strong writing skills and professional email/telephone etiquette
  • Planning, project management, and coordination skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Assist in execution of event promotion to surrounding communities
  • Build reports on vendor and participant updates
  • Maintain accurate inventory of merchandise and supplies
  • Provide customer service via inbox, telephone, and in-person inquiries
  • Coordinate community outreach initiatives and events
  • Prepare and distribute information to internal and external contacts on behalf of Ashley Furniture and Ashley for the Arts
  • Implement communication strategies set by the Public Relations department
  • Document and update standard operating procedures related to events
  • General office and administrative support
  • Assist in coordination of community outreach initiatives and events
  • Build positive relationships with employees, media agents, business partners, and the public
  • Support event planning and execution for one of Wisconsin's largest charity events
