About The Position

The Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team's work spans across a broad and diverse range of functions and work streams, including government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships; and philanthropy. The mission of the Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok and to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2026. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. It runs for 12 weeks. Candidates can apply to a maximum of two positions and will be considered for jobs in the order you apply. The application limit is applicable to TikTok and its affiliates' jobs globally. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in public policy, political science or a related tech-policy discipline.
  • Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduating December 2026 onwards with intention to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and interpersonal skills, a team player, and enjoys working with others in a collaborative, social environment.

Responsibilities

  • Track relevant legislation at the Federal and State levels
  • Monitor legislative hearings relevant to tech policy
  • Draft memorandums and documents related to Federal and State legislation and tech-related updates
  • Attends tech-related events
  • Assist the Public Policy team in reaching policymakers
  • And generally working with the Public Policy team to advance the goals of the company.
