2026 Summer Intern - Public Affairs & Access: US Policy and Evidence
About The Position
US Policy and Evidence is looking for an intern to support the team’s work in the analysis and development of policy solutions to improve affordability and equitable access for patients, support a more sustainable market-based system, and advance business objectives. Interns can expect to: Analyze federal and state policy proposals for business impact and draft related memos; Support the development of proactive policy solutions to improve patient access to innovative medicines; Support government affairs and advocacy team projects, events, and other activities, as needed; Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to better understand business operations and the impact to the business of policy proposals; Develop valuable skills, network, gain exposure to policymaking and advocacy. Program Highlights Intensive 12-weeks , full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship. Program start dates are in May/June (Summer) A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects. Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry. Attend policy events in Washington, DC.
Requirements
- Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria: Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree or must have attained a Bachelor's degree (recent graduates not currently enrolled in a grad program) Must be pursuing a Master's degree or must have attained a Master's degree Must be pursuing a PhD
- Required majors: Public policy, sciences, economics (illustrative, not exhaustive)
- Required Skills Strong analytical, writing, interpersonal, attention-to-detail, and communication skills
- Interest in health policy, legislation, and government affairs (through coursework, personal experience, volunteer work, or other activities)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and work independently
