About the Program The Circle Internship Program is a 12-week, remote-first experience running from May 26 to August 14, 2026, designed to give interns hands-on experience building the future of global finance. Interns work on meaningful, real-world projects that support Circle’s mission to enable the frictionless exchange of value. The program includes three in-person experiences designed to deepen learning and connection: Circle Forward Week in Miami Development Week in the San Francisco Final Showcase Week at Circle’s New York City HQ in One World Trade Center Throughout the summer, interns are supported by managers, mentors, and a close-knit cohort, with opportunities for learning, growth, and exposure to leaders across the company. What you’ll be responsible for: Supporting Circle’s Global Policy team in advancing strategic government affairs initiatives by conducting research, tracking legislative and regulatory developments, and assisting with stakeholder engagement efforts. This role will provide hands-on exposure to digital asset policy, financial services regulation, and cross-border regulatory strategy while working closely with policy leaders and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Law, or related field
  • Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex policy topics into clear, concise summaries
  • Demonstrated interest in financial regulation, digital assets, fintech, or emerging technology policy
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with generative AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and prompt development

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship or coursework related to government affairs, regulatory policy, or financial services
  • Knowledge of blockchain, stablecoins, or cryptocurrency policy frameworks
  • Experience drafting policy memos, legislative summaries, or research briefs
  • Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite

Responsibilities

  • Conducting research on global digital asset regulations, financial services policy, and emerging government frameworks
  • Monitoring and summarizing legislative and regulatory developments across key jurisdictions
  • Assisting in preparing briefing materials, policy memos, and stakeholder presentations
  • Supporting engagement efforts with policymakers, trade associations, and industry coalitions
  • Collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and Product teams to analyze policy impact on Circle’s business
  • Contributing to internal policy trackers and maintaining organized documentation of regulatory updates
