Please note: This is a part-time limited position of approximately 17 hours per week. The work hours are flexible. The Vaccines for Children Program (VFC), established by an act of Congress in 1993, is a Federal funded program that helps families by providing no cost vaccines to doctors who serve eligible children 0 through 18 years of age. The VFC program is administered at the state level by the Immunization Branch, California Department of Public Health. Enrolled VFC providers are able to order vaccine through the state VFC Program which allows them to provide routine immunizations to eligible children with low or no out-of-pocket costs. Under the direct supervision of the VFC Program Health Education Supervisor, the Public Health Professional Worker performs a variety of duties (. e.g., filing, telephones, photocopying, scheduling, etc.) necessary to support the VFC Program Health Facilities Evaluators and the Health Education Supervisor. The individual will provide support to the VFC Program Health Facility Evaluators and the Health Education Supervisor in the Central California Region. This position will be housed in Fresno CA.
