About The Position

This is a federally funded time-limited (FFTL) position. This means it is a position that is paid entirely as the result of a federal grant. The duration of employment shall not exceed the life of the federal grant that funds the position. An employee appointed to an FFTL position is required to meet the minimum requirements for the classification. Further, an employee appointed to an FFTL position is designated as an unclassified (non- merit) employee. An FFTL employee is eligible to receive benefits at the same level as a classified (merit) employee in a permanent position. Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of experience in reviewing, monitoring, determining eligibility for, or administering he Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program, Medical Assistance, Child Care Assistance Program, or other public assistance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Employment and Training program operations, including state plans, contracts, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures based on legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit required federal reports, plans, and budgets.
  • Serve as liaison with staff, partners, and community organizations to ensure program implementation.
  • Oversee partner contracts, deliverables, and funding, including outreach and expansion efforts.
  • Analyze data, monitor performance, and address program trends and quality issues.
  • Provide training, technical assistance, and guidance to staff and stakeholders.
  • Support system improvements and ensure alignment with program policy.
  • Represent the agency in meetings and collaborations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
