The Beach Club at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation throughout our facilities. This role is essential in supporting a high-quality guest experience in a club that is primarily open-air, with some indoor areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, adapts well to a dynamic environment, and understands the importance of cleanliness in a luxury resort setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior housekeeping, custodial, or janitorial experience in a resort, club, or hospitality setting is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a guest-first mindset.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
  • Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning tools and light equipment.
  • Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to navigate stairs, ramps, and uneven surfaces.
  • Comfortable working in both indoor spaces and outdoor, open-air environments, including exposure to heat, humidity, and coastal elements.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Flexible availability required, including weekends and holidays.
  • Work environment is primarily open-air with some indoor areas.
  • Position involves both indoor cleaning and outdoor/open-air maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of Beach Club spaces, including restrooms, lounges, dining areas, locker rooms, offices, and indoor support areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness in open-air areas such as patios, decks, entryways, and covered outdoor spaces.
  • Ensure all areas are clean, fresh, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Dust, wipe, and polish furniture, fixtures, railings, and surfaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors across various surfaces.
  • Remove trash and recyclables in accordance with resort procedures.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to requests from guests, members, or management.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or supply needs to a supervisor.
  • Maintain professionalism and discretion while working in guest-facing areas.
  • Follow all health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
