About The Position

This position is responsible for the ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of all public/common guest and employee areas throughout the resort including but not limited to: restrooms, lobby, elevators and hallways, indoor and outdoor resort common spaces, while following safe working habits and exceeding guest expectations. Routinely clean all tiles floors, baseboards, window blinds, ceiling fans, vents, doors, picture frames, pool chairs and tables, trash receptacles, stairwells, and maintain an adequate supply of pool towels at the pool. Maintains security of equipment, keys and supplies issued each day Follows procedures for team cleaning and self-inspecting program Ensures safety procedures are practiced at all times including Personal Protective Equipment, fire extinguishers, and SDS (Safety Data Sheets)

Requirements

  • Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; twist and bend during majority of working hours
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the hotel/resort property 100% of the assigned shift.
  • Adequate manual dexterity to regularly lift equipment weighing up to 50lbs. (i.e. trash, furniture, mattresses, towels, linens, vacuums, mops, brooms, mattresses, furniture, etc.)
  • Adequate manual dexterity to regularly push/pull equipment (i.e. supply cart, vacuum, etc.) weighing up to 30lbs.
  • Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and effectively deal with guests, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as required

Nice To Haves

  • Six months to one year previous Housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred
