About The Position

Outside grounds maintenance. Assist people with recycling at drop-off centers. Travel to other unmanned drop-off centers to inspect and clean the area. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be able to drive pickup trucks and other vehicles. Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Field supervisor of the Solid Waste Division, and Director or Assistant Director of Public Works.

Requirements

• Knowledge of standard safety practices
• Ability to follow oral/written instructions
• Ability to communicate with co-workers
• Physical ability to perform essential job duties
• High School Diploma or GED
• The ability to read and write sentences with common vocabulary
• Must be able to drive and hold a valid Class D driver's license and to remain as condition of the continued employment
• Must pass a background screen, driver's license verification and physical exam, including a drug test
