About The Position

The Host/Hostess warmly welcomes guests to the restaurant and ensures fast, courteous service to create a pleasant dining experience and encourage repeat visits.

Responsibilities

• Guest Reception & Seating: Greet all guests promptly and courteously. Manage seating to maintain an even distribution of tables among servers, optimizing service efficiency.
• Shift Preparation: Support the Manager or Supervisor with opening duties, including assigning server stations and retrieving and sharing daily specials.
• Order Processing: Handle take-out and room service orders, answering calls and using suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Cash Handling: Accurately process payments received from servers, following established cash and charge procedures. Provide correct change, reconcile the cash drawer at the end of the shift, and complete all required opening and closing paperwork. Accurately document any voids on the balance sheet.
• Dining Area Support: Assist Buspersons with clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables as needed to maintain a clean and inviting dining environment.
• Guest Service: Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, ensuring all needs are met and following up to confirm satisfaction.
• Professional Appearance: Maintain a polished and professional image through appropriate dress and grooming at all times.
• Policy Adherence: Follow all company policies, procedures, and service standards to support smooth restaurant operations and uphold brand integrity.
