About The Position
This position provides academic instruction in Core academic areas (Mathematics, English, Reading and Science) to Middle School and High School students for a state legislated grant program. Prefer applicants with: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science or English or Professional experience in the related field of study. This applicant pool will be used to fill future vacancies as they occur. This is a state-funded part-time grant position that will not exceed 29 working hours per week. The supervisor will establish the work schedule upon hiring. The position will be responsible for: (1) providing instruction to middle school or high school students, (2) developing lesson plans, (3) managing students in a classroom setting, (4) planning and developing group projects for students, (5) chaperoning student on field trips and (6) meeting and speaking with parents. Instruction will be provided at the Brandon and Ybor City campuses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and Three years of prior-related work experience.
- The position requires at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent if substituting experience for education.
