About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Collaborative Care Ps ychiatrist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. Jacobi Medical Center is a modern, state-of-the-art, Level 1 Trauma Center located in an attractive and safe residential Bronx neighborhood, just 20 minutes north of Manhattan. Jacobi Medical Center is affiliated with North Central Bronx Hospital and a teaching site and academic affiliate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine . It offers a full continuum of Acute Care Inpatient and Outpatient Services in diverse Medical and Surgical Specialties, including Psychiatry. The Department of Psychiatry has 89 adult acute inpatient beds, a CPEP, a Consultation Liaison Service, an Adult Ambulatory Practice, and a Community-Based Assertive Community Treatment Program. Opportunity Details: Provide care for a diverse and challenging group of Internal Medicine patients in a Level III Patient Centered Medical Home. Work alongside a group of internal medicine physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers and case managers providing consultative, as well as direct patient care. Assess and screen patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, interviews, medical histories, observations, and psychological testing to diagnose patients. Prescribe and administer psychiatric medications. Monitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications. Develop a treatment plan and measure progress. Provide crisis intervention. Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, psychologists, social workers, nutritionists, and nurses to assess and adjust treatment plans. Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry.
  • License to practice medicine in the State of New York.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $267,900 (board eligible); $278,200 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $438,690 (board eligible) and $450,020 (board certified) , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
