About The Position

Psychiatrist Compensation: Base Salary of $180,000 + RVUs; paid bi-weekly Employment Type: Full-Time, W2 Employee, Exempt Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Location: This is an in-person role based out of Denver, CO Denver Wellness Associates is growing, and we want you to be part of our team. Our company provides Psychiatry services for all ages, in person and telehealth. We are located in Cherry Creek and Lakewood, and plan to expand into another location in the next year. Every member of the team will have access to the owners of the company, and we’ll be looking for your input on how we can best serve our patients and community as we expand! We are expanding our TMS services, Spravato (nasal ketamine) and group therapy. In the next year, we’ll need you to help enhance these services and lead a full suite of options for our patients. We would be open to talking with new graduates. Dr. Jeanne Theobald, CMO, is an amazing teacher with a strong track record of mentoring providers. Psychiatrist Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, manage, and treat patients Write prescriptions and provide patient education on: prescriptions, ketamine, TMS, and psychotherapy Coordinate treatment among other medical specialists and therapists Communicate with patients, physicians, and other members of the health care team Participate in continuing education for continuing certification processes for one's licensure requirements Performs counseling within the scope of clinical practice Obtaining and maintaining prescriptive authority per Colorado State Board Medical Examiner regulations Establishes systematic follow-up for evaluation of the plan of care and reassesses and modifies the plan, as necessary, including initiation of referrals and consultation with other health care providers as appropriate Supervise and train prescribers and therapists in evidence-based treatment modalities Additional compensation for supervision of more than 4 Physician Assistants Compensation & Benefits: Compensation: Base Salary of $180,000 + RVUs; paid bi-weekly 401(k) retirement plan with employer match up to 4% Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and eligible dependents HSA (with employer contribution) and FSA options to help manage healthcare and dependent care expenses Employer-paid life insurance and AD&D coverage Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with confidential mental health and life support resources Generous paid time off and additional paid holidays Case consultation with colleagues Weekly, clinical supervision and ongoing support as required for clinical licensure $4000 towards Continued Education and up to 2 paid days of CE License fees/malpractice/DEA covered Billing, credentialing, scheduling, and intake support Flexible scheduling (no weekends or evenings!) Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted medical license in Colorado
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist (MD required)
  • Degree from an accredited medical school, plus completion of an approved psychiatric residency
  • Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances
  • Excellent knowledge and familiarity with current DSM-5 criteria
  • Strong functional knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices
  • Maintain license void of personal and/or professional misconduct
  • Be able to pass a background check including all educational requirements and licensing
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience
  • Comfortable treating patients across the lifespan (ages 5–80)
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment
