About The Position

The Sr. Manager of Strategic Partnerships will play a pivotal role in developing the internal systems by which the IPS Postsecondary Readiness Department leverages meaningful collaborations with the Postsecondary Readiness Department's external stakeholders to support the district's mission and goals. This role's primary responsibility will be to organize the internal strategy so that the department can effectively cultivate strategic, data-informed partnerships with non-profit organizations, community groups, workforce partners, and educational institutions that align with the Postsecondary Readiness Department's vision for educational excellence and equity. Through leadership and communication skills they will build strong connections that enhance student success, provide additional resources, and promote positive community engagement.

Requirements

  • Positive and engaging attitude with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to garner the stakeholder engagement of diverse groups.
  • Experience in advocacy, community outreach, marketing, or strategic communications.
  • Proficient in leveraging data analysis and interpretation to drive informed decision-making.
  • Experience managing partnerships.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively in a fast paced, ever changing landscape.
  • Ability to interact with diverse populations.
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3-5 years of communications, public relations, marketing, external affairs, grant management, and/or policy experience.

Nice To Haves

  • K-12 public education experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Create a strategic and coherent infrastructure to manage and streamline the district's partnerships efforts at both the district and school levels. This will include managing MOUs between the district and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other IPS teams to identify and establish new strategic external partnerships that align the IPS's educational objectives and priorities. Collaborate with the Executive Director of Postsecondary Readiness to create a comprehensive plan for partnership engagement.
  • Along with other IPS teams, foster positive relationships with community and parent organizations that enhance community involvement in IPS initiatives. Facilitate open communication between IPS and community stakeholders to ensure their perspectives are considered and included in decision-making processes.
  • Work closely with the IPS Foundation to pursue and manage grant opportunities from philanthropic organizations.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with non-profit organizations to expand access to educational resources, enrichment programs, and social services for IPS students and families.
  • Manage and utilize data and analytics to evaluate the impact of existing partnerships and programs on student outcomes. Regularly report findings to district leadership, school-based staff, and partners, providing data driven recommendations for continuous improvement and expansion.
  • Collaborate with various IPS departments to align partnerships with district-wide priorities and initiatives.
