About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a Sr. Systems Administrator. Requires a strong diagnostic background in a Microsoft server environment as well as desktop support experience. The environment is about 80% PC and 20% Mac so ample knowledge of both platforms is necessary. Responsibilities include management of department SCCM / MECM servers, WSUS server, installing and evaluating new software releases, patches, and system upgrades on department endpoints. The Department of Pediatrics is the second largest department in the University of Utah School of Medicine and one of the largest pediatric departments in the country. Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains department Windows servers
  • Manages Windows updates thru WSUS
  • Manages the department SCCM server
  • Creates and maintains desktop images
  • Provides Tier 3 tech support for Department users
