Join us and you'll play a key role in managing data about the physicians and specialists who are part of our provider networks. Working schedule: 8am – 5pm PST with flexibility. Role supports California market. You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel (experience with spreadsheets, formulas, and data management)
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate internal systems
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage a task-oriented workload

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience
  • 2+ medical coding experience
  • Previous experience with provider data or healthcare systems is a plus but not required
  • Proficiency in medical terminology
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Update health plans on changes to our Optum California provider network, including new providers, terminations, and demographic updates
  • Work from a task queue to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments
  • Maintain and update internal systems to track the status of submissions
  • Follow up with health plans when necessary to confirm that the submissions have been processed and updates are complete
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills when coordinating with health plans and internal teams
  • Gain familiarity with internal data systems to effectively manage and update provider information
