About The Position

In Product Strategy we are a team that serves as the trusted compass for DTNA's future commercial vehicle product portfolio. We are in the driver's seat for solidifying the strategy and defining the 'why' for future projects across all vehicle platforms. We are looking for inspired and talented people to join our industry leading strategy team. DTNA Product Strategy is responsible for the overall product strategy at DTNA, which includes gathering market inputs and feedback, developing roadmaps for our products, and scoping major and minor projects within the organization to drive product change. In addition, the strategy team provides analysis to support product decision making, take rate modeling, and to help foster positive customer experience. You will gain knowledge of our customers, dealers, markets and products, as well as expand your professional network. You will receive cross-department (Purchasing, Launch and Change, Design, Finance, Manufacturing, Service etc.) and cross-level leadership exposure. A customer-focused, detailed-oriented self-starter with an eye for organization, communication, and project management will excel. As part of the Propulsion Product Strategy team, you drive and support new product projects and enhancements related to engines, transmissions and axles, both captive and 3rd party. In addition, you will help ensure we are strategically managing our product portfolio and emissions regulation compliance. Working across business units and globally, you will foster alignment between different organizations and markets to balance funding, requirements and strategic bets. Requirements

  • BS/BA and 5-7 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Excellent communicator with effective networking skills and ability to align complex topics with wide variety of cross-functional stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of DTNA products, with a focus on powertrain
  • Project management experience
  • Demonstrated strategic mindset and customer focus
  • Attention to detail and good organization skills to manage simultaneous projects with varying levels of supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • An attached resume required

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering/ other technical background
  • Excellent knowledge of DTNA products, with a focus on powertrain
  • Experience with the following: SpecPro, IMS, Alteryx, EMMA
  • Supplier management

Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or support new propulsion product projects and enhancements, working directly with EPM and cross-functionally with the entire organization from start of project/initiative to successful launch
  • Own transmission roadmaps and strategy, working with Purchasing and suppliers directly on product advancements and opportunities
  • Steer powertrain emissions compliance strategy through implementation, collaborating with CRA and other business units on credit bank maintenance and product requirements
  • Maintain an overall high level of powertrain product knowledge and proficiency with DTNA Sales and Marketing-relevant applications
  • Collaborate with Segment Strategy on market analysis, Sales input and customer feedback to help shape roadmap and initiatives
  • Develop business cases and strategic drivers of financial targets and customer value, and lead to approval across leadership levels
  • Analyze datasets consisting of sales, market and emissions data, driving a data-based approach to decision making
  • Interface with Marketing, CAE, Strategic Pricing and SpecPro teams to drive implementation of launch activities and model year/running changes
  • Support industry events, customer meetings and trade shows as necessary
