SAIC is looking for a skilled Proposal Writer Team Lead to directly supervise a segment of 8-10 Proposal Development Center (PDC) writers. The Team Lead must exhibit strong leadership and coaching, writing, and solid AI use skills to manage writing and content deliverables. The successful candidate should live within commuting distance of Northern Virginia and/or the greater Washington metropolitan area. This position allows flexibility for remote work provided the candidate possesses the flexibility to travel and, when necessary, collaborate in-office (Reston, VA) to meet proposal requirements. As the Proposal Writer Team Lead, you will oversee a team of writers, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-performance outcomes. Collaborating closely with SAIC experts, team members, and PDC leadership, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring and overseeing the development of compliant and compelling proposals in response to Federal Government solicitations. What You’ll Do - Key Responsibilities: Manage and lead a team of writers, providing administrative and performance management support. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to strengthen the PDC’s position in the proposal process. Offer ad-hoc training, coaching, and general guidance on best practices for proposal quality and customer service. Write and lead technical, management, resume, and past performance sections and volumes. Collaborate within a team to clearly articulate the solution, strategy, approach to work, experience, win themes and discriminators. Utilize communication and interviewing skills to gather essential information from internal and external stakeholders to support writing activities. Craft clear, persuasive, and articulate proposal sections, translating complex ideas into easily understandable text. Develop and implement process improvements and training to enhance proposal quality.
