Candidate must be local to Pittsburgh, PA. An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Proposal Writer reporting to Aires Pittsburgh, PA office. This exciting opportunity is in a high growth environment where you will utilize your experience to work strategically with the sales team, internal subject matter experts, and other members of the Proposal/Marketing team to develop proposals, bids, quotations or other documents describing organizational products and services in response to requests from prospective and current clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications or Journalism
  • 5+ years of experience in proposal drafting
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing
  • Excellent customer service and administrative skills
  • Computer literacy with MS Office products, and ability to grasp proprietary software
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures
  • Can-do attitude
  • Genuine desire to help others
  • Team oriented mindset, with a strong sense of care and urgency

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the relocation industry strongly preferred
  • Experience with Qvidian Proposal Automation Software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes strategy developed during initial review and input from SMEs to develop customized proposal drafts and final product.
  • Develops and manages non-proposal content. This includes employee biographies, award applications, blog posts, white papers, and internal newsletters and communications.
  • Performs strategic review and provides thought leadership to the sales team in developing a written strategy for bid responses, articulating a compelling story that demonstrates value to clients.
  • Researches and analyzes market information and client profiles to develop new and persuasive sales content.
  • Converts technical and complex concepts into easily digestible content.
  • Serves as the “owner” for several boilerplate language categories, ensuring they are regularly reviewed by SMEs and properly position Aires compared to the overall company strategy.
  • Provides proofreading/editing support for Marketing and other departments as needed.
  • Provides mentorship, guidance, and support to the Proposal Team members as needed.
