About The Position

The Proposal Specialist plays a key role in supporting our sales team by preparing accurate, timely, and professional proposals and documentation. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams. Integrity, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are essential to success in this role.

Ability to perform repetitive motions, including extended periods of sitting, computer work, and typing.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, work boots, and gloves when entering designated areas.

Responsibilities

Prepare quotes, contracts, and RFQ/RFI responses in collaboration with account managers.
Maintain accurate pricing, configurations, and documentation for all quotes.
Process order confirmations and manage administrative steps from quotation to order approval.
Represent Idaho Steel Products professionally in customer interactions and internal communications.
Assist in developing and maintaining sales demonstration tools, marketing materials, and related applications.
Communicate clearly and effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and consistent follow-through.
Build product knowledge to help identify the right solutions for customers.
Use Microsoft Office Suite and other software tools proficiently.
Understand and follow shop safety policies and practices.
Maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, community partners, and co-workers.
