Hornig Companies is hiring a full-time Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a newly acquired 120-unit community in Arden Hills as it transitions into our portfolio.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in property management, preferably in a multi-site or multi-housing environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, owners, vendors and team members
  • Experience in managing property finances; including reporting and cost control
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategies
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Able to lift 20 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds regularly
  • Able to bend and reach regularly
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements

Nice To Haves

  • AppFolio Plus experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and manage all core business processes, including leasing, turns, client relations, marketing, maintenance, vendor relations, selection, recruitment, and team development.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and communication to our residents and new applicants
  • Build relationships and maintain effective communication with staff and vendors
  • Oversee, train and lead site staff - Maintenance and caretakers.
  • Coordinate the move-in/move-out process
  • Manage renewals and retention
  • Maintain timely communication with staff and vendors
  • Collect & deposit rents as well as follow up on delinquency
  • Prepare capital plans for the properties and execute approved projects
  • Communicate with residents regarding repairs and other matters in a caring, compassionate manner that upholds Hornig Companies’ customer service reputation as well as Fair Housing guidelines
  • Take a hands-on approach to accomplish objectives as well as to facilitate the successful performance of others.
