About The Position

Join a dynamic team as a Property Accountant where you will play a crucial role in preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements for both residential and commercial portfolios.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience with financial reporting and financial statement work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year of experience with Yardi software.
• Experience in commercial or residential property management.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Knowledge of sales and use tax.
• Experience in budget preparation and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Perform monthly comparison of budgets to financial statements.
• Assist with annual budget preparation.
• Ensure accuracy of all general ledger accounts for multiple portfolios.
• Reconcile all balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Review invoices and verify the accuracy of coding of accounts payable.
• Review rent rolls, accounts receivable, and aging reports.
• Conduct Positive Pay on a weekly basis.
• Manage accounts payable.
• Reconcile cash reports.
• Handle FL sales and use tax.
• Collaborate with Sr. accountant.
