Job Summary The Project Support Technician plays a critical role in managing procurement operations, supplier relationships, and cost tracking while supporting capital expense (CAPEX) projects and equipment maintenance. This position ensures seamless collaboration between purchasing, accounts payable, and cross-functional teams to support project and department needs, resolve discrepancies, maintain accurate financial records, and uphold compliance standards. The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency in SAP, MS Office Suite, and Google Workspace with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to optimize workflows and drive operational efficiency. Key Characteristics: Enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment and can quickly learn different procurement processes and workflows needed to support the Sievers business. Well organized with an attention to detail and excels at handling multiple demands simultaneously. Excels at problem solving and strives to run issues to ground to ensure they are appropriately resolved. Self-starter and creative multitasker when presented with multiple demands and changes in priorities.

Requirements

  • Expertise with MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Proficiency with SAP project systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively and maintain professional relationships with individuals from varied backgrounds across multiple functional areas and specializations.
  • Demonstrate adaptability in navigating unfamiliar software platforms, mastering technical functionalities, and applying new tools to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Provide timely and professional written communication by responding to emails promptly and ensuring all correspondence is clear, concise, and free of errors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on empathy, engagement, teamwork, and positive attitude.
  • Experience with vendor management and communication
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience processing POs and helping with vendor transactions.
  • Data entry experience, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail in a high-volume environment
  • 3 years or more of technical work experience using SAP and Google Workspace.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more of SAP experience
  • Associate degree in business, accounting, finance or related field
  • Familiarity with budget tracking and expense reconciliation

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for procurement activities including quoting, purchase requisitions, blanket purchase orders, and internal inventory requisitions.
  • Responsible for setting up new suppliers and monitoring progress through the approval process.
  • Assists in capital expense management activities including CAPEX project setup, monitoring, and project closure.
  • Responsible for resolving any purchase order or invoicing issues in a timely and accurate manner through collaboration with purchasing and accounts payable teams.
  • Maintain and update detailed cost tracking spreadsheets to monitor project and departmental expenses.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity while creating standardized templates for consistent cost documentation across departments.
  • Assists teams in maintaining project and part documentation by acquiring necessary compliance documentation from suppliers (ex. RoHS certificates).
  • Responsible for tracking and coordinating the preventative maintenance of equipment throughout the facility.
