A Project Support Specialist is responsible for performing contract assignments in support of local or centralized procurement activity or in the audit/review of that activity. Activities will include reporting, documenting, and calculating pay quantities and gathering sampling and testing reports and results of construction work on a daily basis. The Project Support Specialist will receive instructions regarding assignments from the Project Administrator but will also be responsible for assignments from the Senior Project Engineer. Project Support Specialist s should be familiar with the Tennessee Department of Transportation Procedures covering the project related duties as stated above and be proficient in the computer programs necessary to perform these duties. Working directly with the Project Administrator, the Project Support Specialist will be responsible for the monthly progress payments to the Contractor and for documentation of the final estimate throughout the construction project duration. Receives instruction on specific objectives, direction on unconventional and/or complex problems, and possible solutions, and thorough review of completed work for application of sound professional judgment. Helps teammates when requested; Gives or shares credit where due; Works to build relationships within team Contributes to process improvements . Identifies issues and resolves problems using existing solutions . Provides guidance to teammates when asked and w orks with minimal guidance . Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements.
