Mopec is currently searching for a Project Manager. This is an “onsite” position and will be based at our corporate office in Madison Heights MI. Job Summary:  The Project Manager will work as part of the project management and pre-sales team.  In this position, the Project Manager will oversee all activities for distributors and territories, order entry, deliver date coordination, installation coordination, and punch list resolution.  The Project Manager will interact with architects, site project managers, general contractors, purchasing agents, end users, Mopec distributors, and sales representatives as well as internal contacts.  The Project Manager will participate in meetings, evaluate and update processes and procedures and CRM’s and assist with current projects.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within a manufacturing environment, possess leadership skills, exhibit a strong customer focus and have excellent communication skills.  The project manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and adhere to quality standards.  This is an on-site position and physical presence in the office is required.

Requirements

  • Project Management certification or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in project management within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership with the ability to lead cross functional teams and drive execution
  • Proficiency in multiple ERP systems including project management tools and software
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-volume environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong customer focus
  • Must be well organized
  • Must manage time well

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee 50+ projects from initiation to closure and all aspects of Project Management including, order entry, delivery date coordination, installation, and any resolutions
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet quality standards
  • Interact daily with architects, site project managers, contractors, purchasing agents, end users and sales reps
  • Address internal and external customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Identify project risks to address potential issues that may impact project delivery
  • Monitor progress, track key milestones, and provide regular updates to stakeholders, addressing all deviations
  • Conduct post project reviews to evaluate project performance, identify lessons learned, and implement improvements for future projects.
  • Create quotes and quote revision for customers and sale representatives
  • Enter orders with details and attachments needed to ensure order meets customer specifications
  • Follow up on drawings for customized and modified orders
  • Collaborate with the installation manager to ensure installations are scheduled and dates are communication to customers
  • Collaborate with the production team for order scheduling and date revisions
  • Participation on continuous improvement projects
  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
  • Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner
  • Physical presence on the job is essential and necessary including weekends and holidays if deemed necessary by the company
