Our work depends on a Project Manager joining our team to be responsible for scope, schedule, and performance of assigned projects from the Sterling, V.A. or Annapolis Junction, M.D. locations. At GDIT, we foster a people-focused and customer-centric environment in delivering Engineering Support Services. As a Project Manager supporting the Government, you will be trusted with management, direction, administration, and quality control of the execution of assigned projects/tasks in accordance with Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices. In this role, a typical day may include: Managing the project stakeholders, project team, project risk, project schedule, and project conflicts Planning, executing, managing, and closing projects that meet or exceed customer objectives in assigned projects Conducting plans and providing recommendations to the client on task workloads Ensuring team members understand and execute their respective roles and the roles of the other team members Coordinating resolution of production-related problems/roadblocks Measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques Coordinating development of deliverables and services Ensuring proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate the delivery of engineering services

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline +6 years’ experience or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work/military experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience managing projects through project life cycle
  • Solid leadership, coaching, and mentorship skills
  • Solid organization skills and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Project

Responsibilities
